THE INKLINGS
ARE A MIXED BUNCH OF SCRIBBLERS WHO ENJOY MEMBERSHIP OF ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL WRITERS GROUPS IN THE MERSEYSIDE AREA.
W E WRITE IN ALL GENRES
MEETINGS ARE HELD IN A FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE WHERE ONLY CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM IS EMPLOYED .

THERE ARE FEW RULES - EVEN FEWER REGULATIONS.
(common sense and courteous behavior are the only pre requisites)
WE HAVE GUEST SPEAKERS, A XMAS PARTY AND AN ANNUAL DINNER,
A CONSTANT SUPPLY OF ENTRY FORMS FOR ALL THE MAJOR (and not so major) WRITING COMPETITIONS.
WE ALSO HAVE A COMPREHENSIVE SELECTION OF HELPFUL BOOKS AND LITERATURE, ON ALL ASPECTS OF THE WRITING  SCENE.

  BUT, BEST OF ALL,
      WE HAVE KNOWLEDGEABLE MEMBERS
WHO ARE ONLY TOO PLEASED TO OFFER ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE WHEN REQUIRED.

BEMUSED?
WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AT  THE AVERAGE WRITERS' CIRCLE MEETING
      OR WORKSHOP ?
Generally, most "workshops" are simply groups of like-minded people who sit around tables and read, discuss, criticize, or offer advice on each others work.

A workshop should be informal and, most importantly, helpful and encouraging to those new to writing.

THE INKLINGS
pride themselves on being all of the above.  New members are welcome to "sit in" on as many meetings as they like before taking the plunge and reading out their own work.
Only CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is allowed - flattery and pampering does not promote good writing.

MEETINGS EVERY WEDNESDAY 1PM to 3PM
THE ROSCOE ROOM
CENTRAL LIBRARY
WILLIAM BROWN STREET
(between museum and walker art gallery)
LIVERPOOL
